Taylor McCall released his 2nd full length album today Feb 2. Mellow War.
Taylor explains on his website that Mellow War is homage to his grandfather. A portrait of grandfather adorns the album cover from when he was in his own Mellow War during the Vietnam conflict.
McCall grew up in the woods and waters of South Carolina and spent his college years in the Mountains and Streams of Montana.
There’s a fresh breath to his sounds that is certainly mellowing. This unusual rift of a guitar that he’s been perfecting since he was only 7. The personal lyrics that bring me to places I can seldom remember..
McCall is an absolute artist and I am looking forward to a deep dive into the rest of his works.
