I don’t know man but Silverado sounds a little Chevy to me, of course I’ve always been a Ford guy myself. Perhaps I’m still a little in shock about Mike Harmeier’s announcement last week to change his band name from, Mike and the Moon Pies to Silverada.
Harmeier’s reasoning behind the change was that he was ready to take his hand to new levels and that people were just not taking the band seriously.
If you’ve ever heard a Mike and the Moonpies song you would think differently.. These guys are serious about the sound and lyrics that go into making music that I love.
They say they have some new ones coming out along with the new moniker of Silverada but promise not to forget the same tunes that brought them this far.
Right now we are just going to be patient and see what the new name and the new album slated for release June, 28th
The band who has been performing for the past 17 years hasn’t changed other than their acts just keep on getting bigger and better.
Time to clean out the closet I suppose and make some room for the new merch that has already been released with the new name.
Silverada – or King Ranch or Mike and the Moonpies – keep on rolling.
